I just found where they where hiding them! There was a little nest with 7 eggs in it underneath an old jeep fender around the back side of the garage.

+/- 20 week old alstralorps.

I'm pretty sure this came from Cupid, my RIR. She's four months old.

Here is my first egg...yay, I'm sooooo excited

I believe it came from one of my red sex-link, my dh spotted her in the nesting box, trying to figure out where it went!

& compared to one of my Aunt's chicken's egg...

Don't mind the date-stamp...dh keeps borrowing my camera for fishing pics and jacks-up the settings

Our only Easter Egger finally layed her first egg. It's a beautiful little green egg. I thought she would never lay and egg, she is 24 weeks old.

Got our first egg today! Nice green egg laid by our Ameraucana mutt (EE) hen. The egg is actually a LOT greener in person...

My daughter's first egg from her red star pullets ( 19 weeks) She was so proud and refused to hand over the egg to mama.LOL

My girls are starting to lay their eggs under the hutch on the ground. Is there any way to stop them and get them back into the nest? Any one have ideas?

Early this morning, I think around 6:00 a.m. or so, we heard one of the hens squawking like crazy. I wondered when I heard this if the rooster was having his way with one of them or if it was one of girls singing her egg song.

With latte in hand, in my robe and orange crocks (that's a picture isn't it!) the dogs and I went to check the nest boxes and low and behold our first egg!! WhoooHooo! A pretty light green shelled egg. I blew it out to save the shell and had the egg for breakfast. Yum!

Not sure which EE laid the egg but I suspect it is Messy Jessy (on the left) as she has the rosiest comb of the 3 EEs. My girls are all 19 weeks old.

Took a pic of it with a store bought egg for size comparison.

Can't wait until tomorrow morning!
