I thought one of mine had stopped laying but on the third day started searching elsewhere and found three eggs in a new nest she made back behind a compost bin. We blocked access and I moved her eggs into the nesting boxes -- I put one into each of my three nesting boxes. She went back to lay in the nesting box as soon as she couldn't get to the other spot. I hope it might be that easy! Good luck!

Saturday I found the prettiest pale green egg, and today there are 2 more! I have 9 EE pullets just 19 weeks old and 8 BOs at 18 weeks! Yea, I'm doing the happy dance!!

When I went to take a picture of her this is what I found sitting in the nest. Looks like some one else is getting busy with egg laying. Roxanne (22 weeks buf orp)was trying to show off her egg laying skills that she would get off her nest and call out to the others. LOL

Not the first egg by many years, but my first green egg!

It's pretty muddy, she didn't know what that weird box was for.....

The white eggs are store-bought, just for comparison

I've been getting 3 to 4 eggs a day for about 3 weeks now, which means that some of my gals started laying at 17 weeks. They are 20 weeks old this week.

I'm fairly sure these two are laying, as the nesting spots they have picked are in between the hay bales (we have to get our buts in gear and build some good ones). And they like to do the "egg song" under my bedroom window at 6 am.
