I am proud to post that one of my 21 week Red Star's laid an egg this morning, she has been squacking a lot the last three days and this morning she sounded terrible... I ran outside thinking one of the roo's got her but nope she had laid a perfect medium sized brown egg

I did the chicken dance outside, my neighbors think I'm crazy but I don't care. The first pic is her egg next to a store bought large white egg, second pic is just me holding her egg. and btw we can't even eat them I wormed the whole gang, so of course they will lay now

I am absolutely tickled pink about finding two eggs in the coop last night as I was putting the girls to bed. I believe they both came from the same hen - the same day!

I have 7 French Marans and one has laid her first egg. I really didnt think it would be this brown!

Our first egg came on Labor day b/t 3-5 pm. It was a double yolker!

We have a diminuative Red Frizzle, SweetiePie, and she started laying this week. We have gotten 4 small, beautiful, delicious eggs! She is 22 weeks old, and is so sweet, friendly and CUTE

My first egg was Thursday- yesterday nothing- MY SECOND EGG TODAY!!

Silver laced Wyandotte 21.5 weeks both eggs in my hand- first egg next to clothes pin for size comparison and both next to a quarter.
