I actually have BIG hands. Well long fingers anyway. It really is big!

I will take a picture of it when I get home with a quarter next to it for comparison. I'm still so excited!!

At long last, the wait is over! Our FIRST EGG!!!

Don't know who laid it, just glad to finally have one.

First egg yesterday (left), then another one today (right). I assume they are from the same bird unless the two RIRs' bodies are in very close sync.



The 2nd egg is darker and shaped more like an egg; there was no identifiable "small end" on the first egg.

My first eggs! Obviously laid by one of my EEs. Found one outside (the dirty one) and one in the coop in the area by the pophole. Now all I need to do is teach her to lay in the nest boxes!
