We got our first egg from I guess one of our RIR who will be 20 weeks tomorrow. The egg from my hen is the one on the right.

Chez Poulet, your Black S-L's are beautiful. Mine are just starting to lay too and lay the prettiest little brown eggs. I hope their eggs get as nice and big as my Golden Comet S-L's are!!

Nice egg! I'm waiting for my australorp, Betsy, to start. I think she'll be the next. I gave a half dozen eggs to our vicar this evening. First time in FOREVER I've had enough to give away any!!!

One of my 2 RIR's laid her first egg last night. Only after we re-designed the coop and they were quite happy with it. This of course after discovering that of 10 in the flock, 2 are hens and ALL the rest are roos. =oS

FINALLY!!!! I can post! YAY!!!! My chooks started laying! I'm pretty sure it is my 2 cochin bantams, since one was sitting on them and there were 2 piles and they are always together

They're so tiny and wonderful

I'm going to blow these out and keep them

Ok, here's my first eggs. Well the brownish-pink one isn't her first but the blue and green ones are first for both those hens!
