Here we are now - at 27.5 weeks. All of my hens are laying! I have 7 EE's who joined my one Australorp. They're all laying - sure of that today. ALL of them blessed us with an egg today. Getting ready for the storm?? lol The first pullet egg - that was at first white - is the third from the right. Getting bigger. My Australorp's egg is the largest. The size of a large storebought. These look green here, but the 4 are more blue than green, tho they vary in shades a little each day. Today was a blue kinda day! haha!


And a couple of days ago.. a blessing for breakfast...



Lovin' my EE gals!!

I found this one today, and it is my first. I think it was laid by my Silkie, Raven. But really, did she have to lay it during a hurricane???

One of our EE's laid her first egg this morning, actually, this is the first egg period. We have six pullets and Marmalade is the first to lay!!

O wow CONGRATS!!! It looks like such a round little egg! She is a very pretty girl. I love the black beard

Thank you "Inthesticks" I really appreciate that! It sure looks like you have a lot of creatures, I wonder why my husband says I have so many, you've got me beat for sure!

Haha yeah show him some of the sigs on here! I don't feel like I have that many lol Always had lots of animals. It's such a wonderful thing not to have to worry about buying or running out of eggs & with the bunnies, they pay for all the animals food!!

Yes Inthesticks & Bogtown chick, I love all my critters and the chickens are such a hoot to watch. My husband just called to say we have another green egg today, but he's having all the fun he has now collected 2 eggs, me 0!! I might go hungry as I think its the same EE as yesterday that laid again today, one egg doesn't go far with 3 people!!
