Very nice pics. I would've thought bears were still in hibernation?

We just had a warm spell and we hit 75 about 10 days ago. That woke the bears up! Of course today we are having a blizzard with winds up to 30mph and we are expecting 17" of snow tonight.

Yes, the camera is on a path I maintain around my pond. The pond is about 400' long and 75' wide, and 8 feet deep at the deepest.

Not my dogs. No idea whose they are. I terrorized them with a baseball bat until they found a way out of my perimeter fence, but the game cam download showed they'd been here on a different day as well as earlier than I had caught them inside the fence. Next time, it may not be a bat. These pics show them outside the fence before they got inside and were headed for my chickens.

We have had trouble with stray dogs as well. Lots of marijuana grows in our area and every one of them has a dog that they let roam every night. We have taken 4 dogs to the SPCA in the last year. Beautiful woodpecker too!

@thomasboyle That pond is beautiful. We used to own land in TN with a very deep pond (27', I'm told) that was spring fed and part of a rock quarry and had a pesky resident beaver who kept clogging up the overflow culvert.

We've had only deer and strange cats on our game cams lately.

Nice cabin overlooking the pond! I just saw a young beaver on the pond a few days ago. They say if a beaver lives in your pond, you have good water quality. Mine have not caused any issues so I enjoy having them around.

Poor thing was caught in the bear trap. Since they can't get in the coop and pose no danger to our chickens we let her go.
