Getting a shipment of chicks in soon, very excited! But can't decide on a coop design, I would love to see all your pics, maybe I'll be able to think of a design then. Lol

Built this today to house my chicks until it's time to introduce them to the rest of the flock and move into the larger coop. I'm going to build a platform for it to set on so that the enclosed portion has a floor and the chicken wire portion will have a ladder down to the dirt.

Right now it's very basic. Just a place to get the chicks out of the garage. Eventually it will have 3 nesting boxes and a roost pole. This was a quick way to get them out of the garage and slowly introduce them to my older hens

you really recommend putting 15 to 20 chickens in 35 sq feet? general consensus would be more along the lines of 7 or 8, but to each his own I suppose
