my area so far doesn't have any regs or anything

believe me, though, that is a concern of ours. however i do enjoy calling him a pit, because he's SUCH a sweet natured dog, he makes a really good "ambassador" for an otherwise stigmatized breed. we do keep him unregistered

just in case there is ever a law put into place, he won't be on any list

and we'll call him a weimaratiff if it ever gets to that point

we live someplace semi-rural though, our neighbors didn't even realize we had a dog until we told them

I love pit-bull dogs; everybody thinks Zelda dn Duke (we have two other dogs also, Arwen, and Raven) are pits, but they're actually Amer Bulldogs
