post your secrets for eliminating flies

I heard you can take some manure and put it out for the flies to lay eggs on, close it up and wait for four or five days, then let the chickens eat all the fly larva out. It also saves feeding costs. By the way, flies outbreed fly predators so you should replenish them every couple months.l

we don't have any more flies than before peeps (maybe the flies like our dog's poop better???) - we use d.e. in the coop and run, coop is pine shavings and run is sand/gravel/dirt. i'd be surprised if any flies lasted very long in there with the peeps - as soon as they landed on anything they'd get eaten up!
