I'm trying to think up a subject to do for a poster for the fair, and I can't think of a new and unique one. Every year, people do posters on eggs, feathers, and normal stuff like that. I want to do a poster on something new and interesting. It has to do with either poultry, rabbits, or pocket pets (hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice, etc.).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Well, gee. It'sallll been done before. Maybe you could do a longevity chart? or a food consumption by body weight of different animals? take all the animals you listed and compare them based on what they eat, how they live, their different needs and what a pet owner will get out of them ie, angora rabbits vs a chicken. or mice vs rats (I had a pet rat in college and she was brilliant and loving and the best pet ever- but people do not believe me. They just think it was weird)
Maybe you can make a poster that will help others decide what type of animal is best for them based on the animal's needs.
Good luck finding something.

Ooh, good idea! I'll look into that... Or like two different breeds of the same creature - like an Orpington vs a Leghorn, or a Syrian hamster vs a Dwarf hamster, or a New Zealand rabbit vs a Netherland dwarf rabbit... So many choices!!! :p

Keep posting more suggestions! I might need it in the future...

Being a 4H parent and have seen many posters,as you say the same things are repeated. What I have never seen was a history of a chicken from its prehistoric beginnings to modern day domesticated chicken. A timeline from dinosaur to junglefowl to food source would be informative to the general public. Most people don't know that the chicken and the T-Rex share DNA.

Ooh, that would be cool!

Ya, it's kind of hard to believe, but I guess if you trace it back far enough, the t-rex is connected somehow... :p

Ahh! All of these great ideas! WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE!?
