okay this morning I went out to feed, check water, look for eggs etc...
(this was only about a half hour ago)

soo I went filled up their feed, went over to the nest box andd sure enough there was an egg... I went to pick it up like usual, but after I did almost instantly one of my my production red hens started pecking me like crazy in the leg, I actually had to gently push her away with my foot, but she kept coming back. She had her wing extended down, and basically was acting like an ornery rooster!

I finally left, by then my rooster was getting kind of excited.
she has never acted like this before and I didn't think her breed went broody. any input?

do you think I might have stopped her because I took her egg away?

That is waht my polly has been doing!!! my son walked by her and she YELLED at him.. I kick her off the next 3 times a day now so she will eat and drink somehting and she does... then hops right back in!!! its funny thought she fluffs up her hackles and her ail feathers go all spread out... and she "crooooaks" she makes me laugh!!! I hope she hatches at least 1!!!!I gave her 3. I guess we will see I got the incubator on so if needed it will be there!!!

see the funny thing is she wasn't actually sitting in the best at the time.
she was just wandering about waiting for her food, but she saw me snatch it and went crazyyyyyyyyyyyy! thats why Im still debating whether she is or not.

yeah I think I'll put some eggs back.... we'll see..

maybe she was just kidding? lol

I followed her in a she was in the corner nest to the big water bucket...
she sat there for about 40 min, laid a egg an then was off!
there was already two eggs. but I don't think she is broody after all.
because shes been out all day foraging, but I still don't see why she was SO upset after I took one of her "sisters" eggs?
