Hi all,

Just finishing my first year as a fluffy butt owner; was doing an inspection of their feet and found one with her left foot (right in the below photo, I was carrying her) with some small scabs on her foot. One looked a bit darker than the rest, others seemed like little red scabs. No visible signs of swelling on top and no changes to her behavior or walking at the moment. Just wanted to know if it's something related to bumblefoot I need to get on top of now or it's just some small cuts healing.

Good for you to find these early. These are not full blown bumble foot.
Looks more like rubbed spots or beginning callous from rubbing on rough surfaces like concrete or roost board.
Look for a hardening of those spots with reddish inflammation.

There are some great threads here on bumble foot.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've been reading up and prepping for bumblefoot; just wasn't 100% if bumblefoot was the correct diagnose for my chicken :)

I was thinking of giving her an espom bath for a few days and maybe putting some vetwrap around them to heal properly; or is it something I can just leave to heal naturally and monitor?
