About 3 weeks ago my flock of 8 chickens was killed and/or attacked by my neighbors dog who was loose in the neighborhood. I went down to 3 chickens and one of them a red comet was the only one out of the three that was attacked in front of us. She was missing some feathers but looked good overall minus some limping.
After a few days the limping appeared better, then she started to not want to sleep with the others and seclude herself away from the others. The past few days she refuses to come out of the coop. I have been helping her out and putting her near the food. She ate as soon as I put her there which makes me think she cant walk. I helped her back in the coop tonight with the other two.
I notice when she goes to spread her wings she has trouble extending them. Is there anything I can do for her besides taking her to a vet? Anything to make her more comfortable? I have electrolytes. I put them in the water the day after the attack.
