Look closely at the first and third pictures. You can see that its rear is pushed outward, as if stretched.

I first noticed it an hour or so ago. It’s not exactly lethargic, but also not vigorous or energetic at all. It still eats. It squatted and pushed to try and defecate once, but couldn’t. The vent doesn’t pulse either. It looked like pasty butt at first so I tried soaking it in warm water and gently rubbing it off, but there was a harder part that I think might’ve been a scab and it wouldn’t come off. There was a whitish clear stringy liquid (infection/vent gleet?) on the vent as well. The abdomen seems a bit swollen to me and has some visible dark, firm areas. Some of the other poults have been picking on the chicks I’m raising them with, and a couple times in the past few days the chicks’ vents have been slightly bloodied and/or a little bit messy. None of them have looked like this though, and this is the only poult that’s been picked at.

I had a chick like this and got some advice from a few folks here.

Besides the soaking it, I put a teaspoon of molasses in a quart of water and gave it to just that chick for a day. This will help if it's got issues pooping. I wouldn't give it to your other chicks because it can give them the runs.

I gave probiotic water when done with the molasses water.

I bought some generic Preparation H, and about three times a day, would put rub that around on the vent area, gently push, and hold it in for a minute.

It worked but it took a few days to start looking better, and a few weeks to be almost normal.
