I have a poult approximately a week old or so. It's breathing is odd .When it's awake, you can see it's skin around the nose going in and out really fast, and it gets worse when it sleeps. Eating and drinking fine. Energy levels are fine. I don't have a local vet who does aviary. Does anyone know whatit could be? TIA.

Did you buy it or hatch it?
What are you feeding?
Are you adding anything to the water?
What is the brooder temperature?

It's normal to see them breathing, just not all of the time. If it's labored, something respiratory is going on.
