I came home to this? Is it an injury or a a strange disease?

It stays in my outdoor brooder with 12 other poults and 10 keets. They tend to sleep in a pile. Could this of been the cause?

Their roosts which are just limbs I put in it were not really situated for them to roost properly the last few days. I just fixed that.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like wry neck (torticolis) which affects many different types of poultry. It can be a neurological symptom of a head or neck injury, a vitamin E or B1 thiamine deficiency, or is seen in some respiratory diseases in late stages. Most people use a poultry vitamin plus vitamin E 400 IU given daily with food. Do you have any poultry vitamins or nutridrench now? Make aure the poult is getting enough to eat and drink. Sometimes making a mash of feed plus a lot of water and a little egg can be fed.

It's hard to make sure he's eating enough when there's 24 birds in there all resting at the same time. I guess he'll be easier to spot now that he stands out so much and walks backwards in circles. I gave them all a diy electrolyte drink last night because it's all I could do at the time. I'll have to order some vitamins and put them in there. Could I just buy regular vitamins and crush them into their food?

Do have a Walmart nearby? Just get some human vitamin E 400 IU and abottle of vitamin B complex. Crush 1/4 tablet of the B complex and sprinkle on food, and puncture the E and squirt it on there as well. Liver also has B vitamins. Egg can be good to hide food in, as well as wet chicken feed. It might be good to separate the poult in a dog crate with food and water to treat it, but leave it with the others if you prefer. They can get a little upset when you separate.

Yes I have a Walmart. I can stop at on my way home tomorrow from work. I'll treat them all since they all are on the same diet. Hopefully it won't happen to another that way.

After researching this strange condition that has struck my young poult I've decided that it is caused his genetics. I feed the poults and keets several of the herbs and greens that are used to treat and prevent wry neck. And I highly doubt it's from an injury because they don't really seem to be very aggressive towards each other at all. Unless he was trampled at snack time... Things can get hectic in there. I'm going to get some vitamins and continue with the helpful treats and feed it to all of them. If he pulls through great. If he makes it to a size that is usable I'll fill him for dinner.... They were bought for food anyways. Thanks for Yall's time and input is been very helpful.
