Poultry dust

After you dust a chicken (for mites) can you pick them up after a period of time? Like 2-3 hours? I have a rescue chicken with mites and the biggest pen I have for her is a dog carrier barely big enough for her to stand up in. I want to put her outside in a run were the other chickens can't get to her (because she's got some scabs) but I was told to wait to put her near other chickens until she is absolutely clear of mites. So that's the issue..Should I put her in the tractor? Thanks

I would go ahead and put her out tomorrow. She can't be kept so confined in a small crate. And the mites should be dying off soon. You will need to redust her again in a week to get the hatching eggs of the mites. But I think you will be fine.
