Black fowl or Wyandotte next.

How would everyone feel about using color patterns as a criteria also? For instance gold lacing, splash, paint, and so on? I know for myself at least, it would open up the options. Of the 30 + birds I have, only three of them are actually solid colored.

We use color patterns.
For example
Isabel Orpington: Next another isabel fowl or another Orpington.
Isabel Leghorn: next another isabel fowl or another Leghorn.

And as long as it’s a common breed, you’ll always be able to continue the thread, regardless of the variety.
So what you should write is gold laced Wyandotte, next another gold laced bird or another Wyandotte.

Got it, and thank you.
