Poultry Lice? What's crawling in my chickens' feathers?

Can they transfer to people?
and most importantly, how do I get rid of them?

5% sevin dust. cover the birds, roosts, and houses. Be sure to remove all bedding and replace with fresh and dust that too.

If the sevin dust doesn't work, move to a permethrin based dust or spray.

Repeat treatment in 7-10 days to catch any hatched eggs.
