Yay!! Today is payday!! That means it's time for me to get my poultry netting for the top of my runs.
One question though. It comes in 1" and 2" hole sizes. Is the 2" sufficient? It's a good deal less expensive and I can't think of any predators that could get in the 2" that couldn't also get through the 1".
What do ya'll think??

ETA: I am definitely getting either the heavy knit or the heavy knotted.

In my opinion, poultry netting will not keep any serious predator out, although it does discourage some, hawks especially. A raccoon can rip right through it. That heavy stuff you mention will do better than that thin plastic stuff that a hawk can just crash through. The big benefit is to keep chickens in. It does not matter if it is 1" or 2" holes for that.

Hawks are the main thing I'm worried about. Raccoons usually come around at night and the girls will be locked up in the coop then. Of course, anything that could get through the 2" net could also get through the chainlink fence.
