Poultry Nutri Drench

Hello and welcome, Julie! NutriDrench was one of the first things we bought for our chicks, before we even had them–it is very highly recommended stuff around here, and I'm almost certain it saved a ten-day old chick that wasn't thriving. Do you have any birds of your own?
I don't currently. My family moved to Nebraska about 2 years ago but when we lived in Missouri we always had chickens.

:frowHi & welcome! I just used your product this week. I bought it to keep on hand since it's often recommended & figured I'd better use it before it expires.
If you have a product close to expiration you can still us it past the date. The only thing is the vitamins and minerals will start to lose their value after a long time. But if it is stored out of direct sunlight and excessive heat you should be fine. Thank you for using our product!!!

3x a week just for good measure or is there a true need?
I would say if you have chicken or chicks that are under stress yes 3x a week would be great. During times of extreme heat it would be good to give it in their water because it makes them drink and eat more. But if your chickens are happy birds and not needing a boost you don't have to give it that much. We recommend that if you have a bird that is extremely sick give them Nutri Drench directly into their beak every 8 hours for three days but if you are just supplementing just put it in their water. Hope that helps!! Might be too much info :)

These birds need to be "Drenched"

Thanks for all the info. I'm in FL so heat is a daily occurence. They don't like it in their water, so I put some in their wet food & they eat that okay. I might try in the water again IF we get a winter this year. My guess is that its nasty when the water warms up. Thanks again for all the info!
