Anyone have experience w/this product?
http://carefreeenzymes.com/agricultural/poultry

I haven't seen any feather issues w/my birds but whenever I move broodies from their boxes I get tiny little bugs on my arms. They are literally so small I can't describe or compare them to pics online w/out a microscope! They move real fast too if that helps the description! My husband has bees so he doesn't want Sevin used anywhere on the property. Anyone have anything other than the Poultry Protector to try?
Thanks

I do not blame your DH, caring for bees is a huge task.

Sounds like your girls have mites or lice. You can bathe them in Dawn dish soap - lather them up, let them set a minute or two and rinse, be sure and rinse them very well. This will kill all the live bugs on them. Do this on a very warm day, and you will not need to blow dry the birds.

DE is very helpful in killing bugs also. Sprinkle around/in your coop - be sure to get the cracks and sprinkle in their dust areas.

Eggs from lice/mites generally hatch in 7-10 days from the time they are laid, so you will need to retreat the birds to control these pests.

Here is a great article about the pesky pests: http://anrcatalog.ucdavis.edu/pdf/8162.pdf
