Poultry Protector Spray for parasites question.

Hi,

The Poultry Protector is a growth inhibitor, I believe; so it can be helpful longterm, but you won't see results right away. The good thing is it's non-toxic so you can spray as much as you want in the coop without it hurting the chickens.

With it being a growth inhibitor, do you think it will kill whats on these new birds? They have lice pretty bad. I checked my original flock and they are all bug free, but I treated them with poultry protecter too, just to be safe.

Not sure if anyone is even still following this post, but I got 3 new Cochin today that are infested pretty good. Gonna use the poultry protector on them......will let you know how it goes

Did you try this? Curious to see if it worked out?

I noticed a few little bugs (lice?) on one of my roos so I went to the feed store to get Sevin dust. The guy there told me to use Manna Pro Poultry Protector Spray instead. He said it is safer than the harsh chemicals. The bottle says to spray directly on the bird as well as the coop. It is supposed to get rid of mites, lice, fleas, and ticks.

Has anyone here used this product? Did it work?

Well I sprayed a very very light mist on my mo th old ba tam chicks because there were alot of mites in and around the nest where mama hen hatched them...I sprayed mama hen's vent as well as the pen I cleaned out for them...I then placed the chicks in with the hen once the pen aired out...this was Wednesday ... by Saturday the smallest one was dead. Then Sunday the two larger ones were dead ..not sure if the spray was the cause or jist coincidence...the spray was the only thing I did different.
