How does everyone keep track of their flock records. I have around 200 chickens. I am looking for something more efficient and am using a google excel spreadsheet.
Would like to track:
-Egg Collection
-Egg Sales
-Feed bought/ expenses
-Buying/selling of chickens

I don't think it would work well for tracking the # of eggs daily.

Excel or Google sheets is the best.

I suppose not. It seemed like you were leaning toward financials. I was guessing what could work. Maybe count eggs as donations?

You can keep track of exactly what you want.

Exactly!
Spreadsheets will allow you to customize what and how you track and do calculations.
You may have to adjust as you go along.

This is what I do.
Mixed chickens
~ Colored chicken tags, I write a number on each tad.
~ The number on the the tag identifies the bird, in a not book have the birds number and the date it hatched. Example: Birds Number-3 Hatched- 3-25-20

Purebreds
~small colored rip ties
~ Colored beads
~ I use the rip tie as a tag basically. I put one color for the the group I got them in a another color for the year. Example: Pink-6/3/20 Green 2020

For records
~Write down when each chick hatches
~Mack sure to do the same for if they die or sold
~Write down if and when you sell an Adult
~ Write down how much you made on chicks and adults or hatching eggs
~ Keep a record on how much you spend on the chickens
~Probably should also keep a record for how many chicks you buy and how much you spend.
