I had a rooster who was young, but I think he did have a eye on a certain australorp hen. One time he picked up a crumb and was clucking for a hen to come. The one hen he liked did not show up, but a big splash hen with feathered feet, started to ungracefully run his way. He got scared and picked up his crumb and ran away. To be fair everyone liked this australorp hen. A boy duck would follow her about and quack, a boy bunny would crawl under her like a chick, and gaze up at her admiringly.
