Ended Poultry Shaming Contest!

Even though poultry are considered to be silly animals, they can recognize and distinguish more than 100 faces, both human and animal. However, some of these farm birds quit laying eggs and go rogue.

In addition to attacking children and cats, poultry can trash the house once inside, so they can wreak havoc on a farm. Funny poultry owners are publicly demeaning their fowl after catching them red-clawed as a way to teach them a lesson, and we love it.

Photography tips from fellow BYC members:

It's simple enough to shame your poultry. It only takes a Sharpie, a piece of paper, and a chicken, duck, turkey, peafowl, quail. etc. that refuses to play by the rules. Let's see you shame your poultry for a chance to win one of three calendars.
Rules:
  • All entries must be submitted to this thread.
  • Four entries per member. An entry is *one* picture of your domestic poultry. One entry per post, please.
  • All domestic poultry allowed (chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, peafowl guinea fowl, quail, pheasants, etc.).
  • Accepted shaming formats:
    • Sign hanging from the poultry
    • Sign next to poultry
    • Digitally added sign
    • Digitally added text
    • Text underneath or above the picture
  1. The picture needs to have been taken by you.
  2. You cannot use a photo that won an award in another BYC sponsored contest.
  3. No overly-edited or filtered images—basic editing such as cropping and other subtle changes are allowed.
  4. Extra consideration for picture quality!
  5. No screenshots, and no watermarks, date stamps, text, etc. on the picture.
  6. ALL pictures MUST be uploaded to BYC and not hosted on other image sites, personal websites, etc.
  7. Prizes are limited to one per person per contest.
  8. Open to all BYC members.
  9. All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
  10. Entries will be accepted until January 1st at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
There will be 3 winners and each will receive a copy of our beautiful BYC 2022 Calendar!
The calendar is available to winners that reside in the United States. If the winners are outside of the United States, they will be awarded a 1-month PFM.
