They’re button quail and it is often thought they’re strictly monogamous despite lots of people keeping them in mixed colonies. They crow and call for females but they also dust bathe together, sleep together, preen eachother, display to eachother, freaking stand on one leg so they can be closer together...

They are pretty gosh darn cute. I’ve been working on getting some hens for them but I dunno might ruin what they have. Keep trying to get video but they don’t like being interrupted
