I got this cute little chicken for free with 5 other hens. As I turned her loose with the rest of my flock I noticed she limped. But she got around pretty good. She was the only one I was able to catch. She was missing feathers on the front of her chest. So I decided to name her momma and she lays pretty, large, and white eggs for me every day!!

I got this chicken at a swap meet with a bunch of other 6 week old chicks. She recently got stepped on by one of my ponies. Her leg bruised pretty bad and some of her scales got ripped off. Now she is doing extremly well. She has all new scales on her leg and I have become extremly attached to her. She kinda limps when she walks but otherwise she has recovered completly.

Chickens name: Ginny

Chickens age: At least 3 years old

Chickens Breed: Silkie

Chickens summary: I got Ginny, along with 2 other Silkies (Bentley and Mollie) as a christmas present in 2007. In 2008 she unexpectedly hatched and mothered 3 of her own chicks, but later took up egg eating (as you can see from the yolk on her crest) and I never had any more chicks from her. Sadly, she passed away in 2010 from Marek's Disease, and so did one of her chicks.
