Yeah, that's a good point. I always had fun showing at my fair and almost all of mine were either hatchery birds or bred from hatchery birds.

You would still have to yet them tested, but you would just enter them in the open show (unless you are in 4-H.)
And you will have to wash the birds a few days before the show.

You only have to test them if you own any birds over a year old, of course.

yeah I have 3 hens, one is 2 years and the other two are 1 year.
