Mine is anticipating additions to the flock. He is cool about it. I sneak them around my parents though since they think we have hit an insane period in our lives. Thankfully they think all the" nasty little creatures" look so much alike. I'm not sure how my dad thought my polish was my silkie or one of my laying hens but ok lets go with that if I don't have to hear a lecture. I would love to get another silkie and maybe some more pullets and maybe a goose if anyone has one lol.
ah lucky you. My DH only cares about 1 chicken...our Delaware pullet, Cannonball. That is "his" girl. But....I have a plan, babies will be sleeping in my garage and it is my intent that two or three of them stay. sssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
mmmm sorta yeah... I was thinking more along the lines of "Honey come quick....look what she left...OMG she is gonna be sooooooooooooo upset. Dammmmm it she is already back in TN. I'll have to keep them now...at least until her next trip up or we get down there. Then I will already love them and they will be mine precious oh yes."
Works for me! Now send me good hatching vibes!
There was rocking and peeping already last night. My book says no babies until Thursday. Either I wrote something down wrong or the bator was a little warm (it's hatched continually since January without a flux. I lean towards my data entry.)
My DH used to have a chicken girlfriend. But she got eggbound
It was sooo funny how she'd run to DH and spurn the rooster!!

Nice, real nice.......I am SO putting raisins in ALL of your food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Dh complains about the birds especially the one int eh camper recovering from the goose attack. But yesterday, I got home and he had her out and hanging with him around the campfire. So I know he's full of splort!
