May 11th Poultry Fest at Ohio Heritage Farms/Girard Nursery a multi-vendor chicken sale where you will be able to buy baby and juvenile chickens, along with interacting with breeders from across northern Ohio.
Vendors will begin selling at 9am. We will be having educational talks throughout the day, here is a summary of the planned talks:
11:00am - Raising a Backyard Flock
Looking to get started raising chickens? You don’t want to miss this one.
1:00pm - NPIP Rep and OPA
What is National Poultry Improvement Plan? Should you certified? What is the Ohio Poultry Association?
2:00pm - Raising Water Fowl
Want to learn about raising ducks, geese and other waterfowl?
3:00pm - Ashtabula 4H rep / Showing Poultry
Interested in showing poultry? A local 4H rep will on site sharing information and tips.
4:00pm - Breeding Poultry
Ready to propagate your flock?
There is no admission fee, so if your curious or just wanted to meet some of the faces behind Ohio Heritage Farm, feel free to stop on in.

There will be many breeds, including bantams and large fowl.
 
really wanted to come to this! but we all work :( I saw there were going to be BLRW which we have been trying to find. maybe another time!
 
i know i saw someone was gonna have lavender orpingtons and blrw which we havent been able to find that arent less then 5 hours away
