My puppy has whipworms. I am worried about my chickens. I would like to have a georgia vet contact. Does anyone know a Georgia poulrty vet? Does anyone know where to send fecal samples?
I would like to worm my chickens, but I am 8.5 months pregnant and I don't want to handle wormer until after the baby is born.
I posted on the Georgia thread but no one responded.

you can handle the wormer safely if you just don't get it on your hands, wear latex gloves if you are worried.
Best to get rid of them before the baby arrives for sure !

The safeguard you prob. want to use is the 10% for goats and can be got from Jeffers or most any local ag. supply store, Tractor supply, etc.

Here is a good start for avian vets in case you need one in the future. Luckily for you you have a wonderful Vet. school in that state, UGA !

The vet that diagnosed the whip worms in your puppy can do a chicken poop test. What medication did they give you for the puppy?
