Poults in trouble????

Purchased 12 poults, about three weeks old, last evening. First go around with them. Experienced with peeps and peas. 20 minute noisy car ride, right into brooder. All immediately fell asleep or "fell out". Didn't move for over four hours. When some did start moving they had blood in their poo. Showed a few the water and decided not to mess with them anymore, hoping they'd come around. I figured they were stressed and would see what happened when I woke up. This morning 11 were moving pretty good, chirping and eating. 12th seemed out of it still, but left them alone. At work now, but figured stress free for 10 hours was best anyway. Will they recover if blood in their poo? Or is this false hope? Any suggestions? I feel bad just changing out their water and food because they're so fragile right now, but I know I need to. Any thoughts, ideas or impressions would be great.

If there's ALOT of blood in the poo, that can be cocci, which you need Corid for. You can buy that at TSC. They only had it in a powder for bovine last time I checked, but you can call the 800 number on the package and see how much per gallon to use for turkey poults.

If it's just very small traces, the blood could have been from the stress of traveling....But I'd hate to take a chance.....If they seem frail and are still showing blood in their stools, I would act very quickly and get the Corid, which, in my opinion is better than Sulmet for Cocci. It's not so harsh on their systems as Sulmet is. (If Sulmet is the only thing available, you can use that.)

When they first were put in the brooder their poo was fine. It was when they fell out, then woke up that I noticed the blood. It's not bad, but was there. They're on medicated feed too. Thanks for the info. Off to the feed store for stuff, so I'll just add that too.
