whats your favorite powdered egg recipe? im getting a dozen a day and have 6 more pullets about to come into lay. i was thinking of making some powdered eggs

I've read several posts on homesteading blogs where they just use a food dehydrator like for jerky and fruit and dry and powder the eggs that way. One lady I read did a bunch right before her hens quit laying for the winter so they could have fresh eggs till they started laying again. She just stored it in clean Mason jars.

I'll see if I can find a link I may have saved :)

I did not know that. That's pretty simple. It would also make a great treat for the chickens in the middle of winter, mixed together with some oatmeal and hot water, let sit, and I bet it would be gobbled right up, so I guess that would be my use of them as chicken or dog food during winter.

Thanks so much, now to find my dehydrator.

That's a great idea to use for the chickens and dogs. I wouldn't mind just keeping a jar on hand to make a quick meal for brooding chicks.
