Power out brooder off help please

My week olds are indoors in brooded current temp reads 78. They are huddled together. The powers. Even off about an hour. I put a cardboard piece over top. It left room for air flow. Will it be okay. What else can I do. Ugh.

Try putting bottles filled with warm water in so they can cuddle against. May be a hot water bottle.....you know the old fashion kind. They could actually sit/lay on those. Good luck, hope the power comes on for you soon. We lost ours last night. Had candles everywhere.

try a local store that carries hunting/camping supplies
they sell these things that you crack and shake up and put in your gloves to keep your hands warm

those are called hot hands i think. Maybe open your curtains and put their box in the sunlight that might add a few degrees.

In the extreme case that you cannot keep them warm enough in the house, can you put them in the car with the heater on full blast? Drive around with them? Give them a little sightseeing tour of the countryside?

Can you wrap the brooder in blankets to keep in as much heat as you can? I would also put them in something small that you can keep the heat in easily and that you can move to the warmest place that you can think of, and they would be closer together so that they can use their body heat better.
