Hey, so the day before last we had a tornado watch. the wind gusts for up to 75 mph and of course the power went out the electric company was not available until 24 hours later, the power finally went on the next night, during the power outage i had blankets over the incubator the whole time. temperature went down too 60 the worst part was it was lockdown, after the power went on i checked my eggs plugged in the incubator, but there was no hope I even candled them but nothing that night, before I went too bed the eggs started too wattle and I started too here chirping, now it has been a day since the power has been out and they are chirping and wattleing like never before was this story normal or what? does this usually happen?

Don't worry to much, whilst I was doing a staggered hatch, (a few duck eggs, pekin bantams and button quail) The council decided to turn off the entire areas power. For 24 hours!
I still had a good hatch, and all of the babies were fine. I hope yours will be okay.
