--weathering the storm and my incubator temp dropped to about 94 degrees for not sure how long... possibly about 6 hours. it is back up to constant 100.
I am thinking they should be fine, however, could some experienced folks give input?
they are on day 8/9. Also, so many posts on humidity level. What should it really be??

Pray for Texas -- Liberty County -- God will bring us through the storm. #hurricanharvy#TexasStrong

Thats fine in my mind.

I looked after a baby chick which was rejected from his mother.

I didnt have an incubator so i used a microwaveable heated bean bag.
I just warmed up when it got cool.

I also woke up at night just to do that.

Your chicks should be fine your tempreture is up now and thats all they need.
Its like if you went out in the cold for an hour and came inside by the fire to warm up.

First off. I hope you are fairing the weather well..
The water.. My goodness.
I run low humidity until lock down, then raise to 60%.(I run still air)
I don't know if six hours would make a difference.
I use to throw a thick towel over our bators during outages. But you have to stay home in case the power comes back on.. Could be a fire hazard.. Not recommended by me anymore!
Now a days, When we bought an upgrade on our battery back up for our computer, we placed the older back up inline with the bators.
Several times we have heard the beeping tone late night/early morns when a drunk driver or tree limb takes out a power line.
I sleep better hearing that faint beep beep beep, knowing my eggs are still warm, especially during lockdown.
I am sure your eggs are fine! My reply is just food for thought!
Best regards, connie

Thank you all! We have a generator, but for some reason when I plugged back in temp dropped. I will candle them today - day 8 - do hope to see if all have made it this far.

I am blessed. We are just East of Houston and on the highest ground around. We have gotten about 30" so far with more to come. Winds are our concern for ourselves. Feel helpless for friends and families that are not so fortunate. Please keep SE Texas in your thoughts and prayers...
