Got one silkie out of the hatch saturday, one of my favorites and surprizingly mature compared to the other birds, first to figure out the food in the feeder and walks around so proud looking with that funny pomadour and puff ball cheeks. I really hope its a girl, we can't keep roos in this city but girls are ok. (most chicks haching here, and definately all that are roos are headed for my moms ranch, shes off grid so I'm running the incubator here for her.)
I wasn't planing on doing much candling this set until a bit later, but still been worried so I candled 8-10 of the ones towards the front....
and saw appropriate development, lots of good veining, only 1 of them was suspect clear (but it was a big egg and not easy to see through)!!
