This hen is about 10 months old. She is still laying, eating, drinking, and otherwise normal. Y’all think this is avian pox? Will it just clear up? I have 10 other chickens. Nobody else has any thing yet. They free range all day and are cooped up at night. Any help is appreciated! This is my first time raising chickens.

That appears to be dry fowl pox. The pox will clear up after some time, and the birds typically become immune to contracting the problem in the future.

Since your other birds aren't experiencing it, as of now, it may be best to separate her from the flock since the lesions are quite contagious. Since it can be transmitted by mosquitos, the other chickens may get it regardless, if you separate her or not, so that is something to keep in mind.

For the hen affected, you can apply an antibacterial ointment to the lesions a few times a day to keep them from getting infected, or apply something like betadine, or iodine to dry the lesions out. Disinfecting, the whole flock's feeders, and waterers, would not be a bad idea. Keep us posted on how she does.

I’m experiencing the same with right now with two young chicks. One is worst than the other, I separated them from the rest of the chicks, and I’m applying antibacterial ointment to help keep the area clean.
I’m glad to hear you’ve started raising chickens recently, your going to love it! I have a small channel on YouTube about chicken keeping & gardening, if you’re interested 😊
