PPBA Show in Stockton, CA in January?

Thanks Cloverleaf. I wish they had some online information about the show. Hard to believe they don't in 2011. I sent an email so we'll see what happens.

I know!

I only have the contact info because I have a huge list for updating in my local poultry club's newsletter...I hope it's accurate!

I finally got a response from someone and this is all that was said:

Mary
The show is the last weekend of January. The show catalogue will be out the first part of December. All members will receive one.

I see some of the sponsers at the feed store and the auction here, Even in person all they say is last weekend in January. Matter of fact that's all I've ever seen even on the posters.

last year I just barely found out in time, and the 'group rate' hotel was full.
I just found these on the CA Chickens yahoo group, & emailed Heather, so will let you know what she says... I'm a member, and haven't received anything yet

**Desperately seeking someone coming to the show (or otherwise to CA) from Dayton Ohio area who can ferry a dozen chicks to me!**

<<There are several hotels in the area, but none super close to the fair grounds
(which is pretty much the case no matter which show you go to). I live about 20
minutes north of Stockton, so here is what I would recommend:

Off of Hwy 99 just fifteen minutes north of Stockton in Lodi, there is a new
Holiday Inn Express (the "host" hotel this year) and Lodi Hampton Inn right
across the street....all are your basic hotel set-up but are fairly new and
clean. The Lodi Holiday Inn Express and the Stockton Hampton Inn (former host
hotel) off of Arch Road are owned by the same people, so you could probably
talk to them and get the same rate (but don't quote me on that).

In west Stockton (off of I-5 and March Lane), about the same driving distance as
the hotels in Lodi, are a LaQuinta and a Hilton; the closest might be a Sheridan
(downtown by the arena). All of those are very nice, although the La Quinta is
on the older side.

In Lodi near the host hotel, there is a Mc D's, Taco Bell, Star Bucks, Denny's
(but I wouldn't go there!!), Wendy's, and several gas stations. Lodi is only 3-4
miles across, so it's easy to find places to eat if you just drive down
Kettleman Lane/Hwy 12. On the west end of Kettleman is Target and Walmart, half
way down is a Smart grocery store and CVS, and downtown Lodi is actually very
nice (worth checking out). If you are looking for sushi, Haro Sushi is good on
Cherokee about 2 miles from the Holiday Inn Express. Great breakfasts can be
found at the Velvet Creamery behind Auto Zone at Kettleman and Ham Lane. Italian
would include Pietro's and Strings.

Hope that helps!>>
