Picked up the March issue of the PP at TSC. It has a nice article titled "Time to Hatch?" Store and incubate eggs POINTED END UP. What the.....?

I thought the air cell in the egg should be at the top.

I know I'll get some jokes about how Brits drive on the opposite side of the road and such but seriously, which way do we hatch?

Oh, the article is also paraphrased in The Poultry Magazine (formerly Fancy Fowl USA) March/April issue with the same advice of storing and hatching pointed end up.

Responses?

I have heard of that before. If storing longer than 10 days, something about storing them that way keeps the air sac from leaking?

I noticed the exact same thing and assumed it was a typo. As far as I have always heard (and done) it it pointed end down so the air cell is in the larger end of the egg. Maybe the Brits know something I don't.
