Practicing or egg bound?

Hello! My girls are all 21 weeks, and one started laying on Sunday. She's doing great, and has laid 4 so far! Two of the other ladies have been frequenting the coop/nesting box during the day, laying down, hanging out, but not laying eggs yet. Are they just acclimating or should I worry about being egg bound? Thank you!

It sounds like they're just checking things out. They've got all these hormones going on and they don't know what they're supposed to be doing with everything.

Sounds like the other girls are just practicing.

A pullet that is egg bound will be standing about hunched up and acting miserable.

Some pullets seem to know that an egg is coming so they start to check out possible nests a week or so ahead of the big event. Some don't get to that stage until after they've laid a few eggs. It can be fun dealing with animals. To me that sounds normal. You should be seeing more eggs in a few days.
