and prayers

I woke up to find her still alive. Sadly I wish she would just die to end her misery. She is even worse today.
I will give it a last try by giving her her last penicillin dosage tonight.

This is it.....all I want to do is cry

It hurts so much....I hatched her from some eggs from birds we had to sell. It was easing knowing I kept one of their babies.

She was one I was going to keep in the house but thought it would be better if she could grow up with her brother. That way she wouldnt be lonely.

Now I am wishing I should of just left her in the house.

My Silkie has pulled through some aweful scrapes before. I have stayed up a number of night thinking that she was dying (she has severe anemia from getting lead poisioning).

They are tough birds. Keep up the love! It will help. I bet she has had a wonderful chicken life with her brother.

Hang in there. Cry all you want! Heck, I'll cry with you if it helps!

Its so hard to feel helpless...

Thanx for the prayers everybody. It is helping me allot.

Around noon I decided to try and lower the lamp more and gave her a hand warmer under her chest. It has seemed to help some.
She is even drinking some water. She is still quite weak and kind of just lays on her side. But she is still talking to me and her eyes are open now.

It seems as though me feeding her last night actually helped her and I think thats what made her last through the night.
I fed her that high protien powder baby bird food wet with crumbles.

She isnt out of the woods yet.
Hopefully she starts to get much better by tommarow....

HCM it is true, They are not as delicate as people think they are.

You should try to give her some orange juice in her water or mixing crushed garlic with her feed.

I will be praying!

I have been having problems too... One of my darlings has some sort of hip problems!

I have to take her out everyday and feed her seperate from the flock I have been takig her
out side to get fresh air it has helped please pray!

Sadly she died Thursday night around 10:30 pm. I managed to get out there 5 minutes before she died.
Its so heart breaking. I tried so hard to save her...
And she actually shown signs of getting better the day before. But I think her lungs gave way on her. It was so hard to watch I begged and pleaded for her to stay with me then I grabed right ahold of her when she started to gasp. Matter of seconds later she went floppy. I tried to blow some air into her lungs for atleast a good 15 seconds.....

all I want to do is cry. Sad to have such a young life lost like that

Migizi I am sorry to hear about your little bird. I hope she gets better. And that she spends more long and happy years with you.

Some animals have a will to live and can live a long time. We had a spaniel live for almost 16 years. It was sad to have her go but she was a happy dog.

I have a silkie that I got in 2001 and that is still alive. Matter of fact that is Dolly's great Grandma. She has made us very nice birds to be proud of
