I called the phone company and told them I needed my phone for work so they made a deal with me to keep it on until the last day of school on the 28th. So that gives me that long to pay the bill,, come on miracle and thank you to Qwest for working with me yet again! Someone said the right prayer on that one!

You are still in my prayers daily. My sister has been struggling with layoffs and paying her bills. She's started cleaning houses on the side.
You could post at a nearby church or YMCA that you are available for house cleaning or even babysitting during your summer months. Might give you a little side money.
You are a strong woman, and I know you will get through this chapter of your life. I'm just sorry it's not a 'good read' right now. My best to you, and your family.

Hope the tutoring works out for you. Another option, maybe caregiving? I started doing this for a friend from church a couple years ago, and it has been a good option for me. My last position came about through a parish nurse network. In fact, the parish nurses in my area are looking for reliable people who can assist individuals in their churches. The need for caregivers is greater now, and I do this in addition to a housecleaning business on the side. Just another thought. I'm continuing to pray for you. May God give you wisdom and strength at this time.

I'm looking at a lot of things right now, if the district didn't have me in more training that normal this summer it would sure be easier. At least I'm getting paid for the training! I'm getting things together for a yard sale and I put pics of books back on so I can list them. If they don't sell on here and they probably won't, I'll list them on Amazon. I've decided Ebay just isn't seller friendly anymore!

Tutoring is a grand idea. Have you considered marketing yourself to homeschoolers? Maybe you could put together little "Science Day" workshops?

I know that part of the challenge for you tutoring is that a large part of your population is low income and may not be able to pay for it. But, if you could get enough clients you could schedule it so that you are in one town for a day or two and traveling less.

Hi Kate!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all let me give you a big hug and a pat on the back...... next a gentle friendly kick in the butt. You are a strong and good person and I think a fighter. So go to it! this will pass and you will come out better and stronger. The downs are always followed by ups yes? Work it out, fight it out, chin up, be strong, you can do it. I know you can and I have faith in you.

Something my dad told me along time ago when I was going thru a very hard time. I don't remember the exact words but something like this. "make today a good day no matter what comes your way, make tomorrow a good day and the day after. Before you know it all your days are good"
