How horrible. I am a middle school teacher and we take our students to a water park each year...and that is my BIGGEST fear. I am so sorry for your community and the families. My heart goes out to you.

This is the first year they've done the waterpark trip with some other schools, it took a lot of fund raising and work to get the money together for it. The news crews won't leave us alone, they are trying to talk to any middle school age looking child they can! I hate them sometimes.

I'm very sorry to hear about this.

The news people, like most of the American public, have lost all sense of what is private and what is public. Grief should be private.

You will be in my thoughts. It sounds like this has been a rough new year for you with the violence spilling over from Mexico, the issues with your son's friends and now this.

I think we need a "hang in there" smiley for this board.
