prayers for maple's angiogram Mon.

boo, that's crazy... a chicken IN a bush.

Hiya happychick...glad you stopped by. That's actually a cool idea. And I do own a nebulizer cuz of my own kids. I just got my first aid/CPR training on sat. It was funny cuz I got to meet the "go to" daycare lady from my town and her hubby and also it was her bro that was doing the training at the local fire house. And he'd give us scenario's and ask us what we'd do...for the most part we were serious but we had some good laughs too. I like meeting new people and it helps that they have a sense of humor.

My "d"ivorce is not going well and has me really concerned and has added stress...but I guess that's how it goes.

You know Redhen, I was thinking about talking to someone else as well. The guy I have now works at a prominant firm and is the son of my mom's friend. So since mom said she was going to help financially... I felt when we sat with 2 different lawyers and talked over the case that this guy would do more for me and perhaps at a reduced rate. I was mistaken. And now he needs more $ and mom is going back on her word to help me. My frustrations and hurt run deep right now.

Ugh..thats tough! Cause lawyers sure arent cheap!

Why does he want more money?? If he said it was going to cost a certain rate..then he cant go back on his word! The swindler....

Was the class hard? Did you get to do mouth to mouth with any cute men?

he had me put so much down... now I get a bill for any time that I called him to inquire about something even if it took 2 or 5 minutes.... he charged me for 15 minutes and now I owe him 600 and it's not even done yet.

*huge sigh*

no cute guys.....a dirty looking half torso dummy but I was given a plastic sheild to put over the mouth.

and yes, it was very easy and I recommend it to all.

I should have asked for a tour and seen if there were any cuties hiding in the other rooms.

ha ha ha Luna... you know red's naughty.

I was lookin but I just saw one guy besides my teacher and well... I mean.... my teacher was an older guy and the other guy was a younger guy but wondered how the heck he passed the physical exam if you know what I mean?

Yes, attorneys charge by the hour, not the whole case, and many don't break the time down into anything smaller than half or quarter hours. Usually $200-$400 per hour; sometimes more. And they charge for EVERYTHING.

One of my friends is facing the same thing, the attorney charges her for a minimum of 15 minutes no matter if it takes 2 minutes or 14, so she's started doing things by email. She still gets charged by 15 minutes, but she waits until she has a few questions and sends them over all at once so that he reads them one right after the other, no chit chat in between....so at least she gets charged 15 or 30 minutes instead of 45 on the phone because he's interrupting and asking more questions.

I'm really sorry that things aren't going better and really irritated at your Mom right now.

Any conversation is charged for. Anytime a paper needs to be revised, any time something else needs to be filed. Each time you go to court, even if some one else talks to your lawyer about your case. Conversations between his and your lawyer, all additional fees. If you can't agree in mediation, they could send you to evaluation, more money. Its quite expensive.

I gave the baby chickie to Cotton and she is so happy now, and the chickie loves Cotton, too. It is so cute! Today she was busy scratching, scratching, and doing her motherly call for the chickie to come get what she scratched up. Its just so sweet.

I know boo...this could get a whole lot uglier and I'm so ready to have it all behind me. He was no good to me or the girls and now he wants to take us for all we have and more than what he ever put into the relationship. It's breakin my heart.

I have a broody now... a blue orp but no roo... well, I got a roo but he's still young but he's trying to crow like he's a big boy. My old man friend, Harry, says he's gonna bring me some fertile eggs soon to see if she'll set on them.

We had chicks hatch out from our bator back around my birthday in May and we've put them around her one at a time curious as to what she'd do. I even put one on top of her fat back and she growled at us but only at our hands...not at the chick. I wasn't sure what to do...if she'd want to sit on the eggs or take care of a handful of babies?

Do you have cotton and baby seperated from the other hens? Or does everyone live in harmony?

about the "d"....
I was also thinking about email conversations too....so they charge for that too, huh? This last court appearance I called him all the week ahead because I was under the impression it was "IT" the last one but turns out it wasn't, guess that's scheduled for August, *sigh*...but I was thinking, why the heck isn't he getting back to me? I just want this all behind me. I want things to work out for me and my girls and I'm so scared right now.

I know I have to take care of myself...health and sanity wise...at least I have a couple of friends I can talk to and my Pastor. It'd be nice if my family were here for me.

I remember with my oldest sisters "d" that my mom and dad were there for her in big ways and showed up at every court appearance and all.... I'm really missing my dad right now. I spent the other day sitting at his grave the other day...me and my girls.

We walked around and talked about some of the really old markers, what all the flags stood for--including one on my dad's, the people I knew, and then we sat down at my dad's stone...watched this really cute silly tiny scotty looking dog tromp around and then run back to his masters--he was cute...and then I talked to my girls and told them mommy had lots of things to think about lately and was sorry sometimes I yelled or cried real easy lately. I told them I needed their help like helping clean up no matter who made the mess and talking to each other more kindly. They said they would help out.

It's late. See ya all sometime tomorrow when I make it back to a computer.

hugs,
gretch

Another thing that makes it so frustrating, is that as laymen, we do not know or understand the steps involved in the process. And it seems as though we are being taken for our money. I know it costs each time to talk to lawyer, but that really is the only way your lawyer can get to know you better. And it really is all about 'best interest' for children. Who can support, who can get to school, where they've lived all along, etc. I'm no lawyer and I do not know all the steps to the process, just that it is confusing and hard.

My chickens are good girls, so far I have Cotton and baby chickie in the pen with all the rest. Cotton is often broody. She is always setting, so it was easy for me to make the switch. She was ready for a baby. The other chickens always laid eggs under her, so when I gave her the chickie, I put a wire in front of that nest box so they could not get into it anymore. Boy were they frustrated, so I had to move the whole box to the next spot over, and put a different box there. The second day, one of the hens broke into that area anyway, and when I went to check I was scared, where's baby?!! But Cotton had it safe, now on the ground of my pen. So thats where they stay and scratch all day and sleep all night! I moved the water up high so baby can't jump into it, and put a tiny bowl down low for chickie. The same bowl I have when I have them in box in house.

And today is my first day back to work after getting chickie, and its in the big pen, and well I won't get to check on it all day! yikes.

Darn hot flashes, I'm really sweating, and it is foggy and cold (I guess its cold).

hugs and hugs,
Boo
