You are my buddy.

Cotton has a friend now, her name is Sheila. So cute to see two white silkies running around. Cotton's beak is blue and Sheila's is green!

Hi gretch !!! I had lost touch on BYC since being away.....I didn't know you had been ill. I just wanted to say "hi" and say that I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your family and that you're feeling better now. Let us know what's going on! Take care of yourself......I'm thinking of you.

heard from her friday. She went with her mom to the cabin for the weekend. should be around

Good afternoon,
Made it home late last night in the pouring rain at about 11pm. whew...my mom drove about 45 the whole way home...she's such a granny.

Dr.'s nurse called FINALLY a little bit ago. Said it is a big cyst on my left ovary. She can't put me on contraceptive pills that are usually given to make the cyst go down because of my heart attack and that would be too risky.

Can't have surgery because of all of my blood thinners. If my pain increases and continues I am to contact her and she will have to figure something out with my cardiologist.

I told her the pain has lessoned so for now I am scheduled for another ultrasound in 2 months unless the pain gets bad again.

I'm happy that that is all it is. My little heart is relieved. You don't know how relieved I am....

In other news the neighbor's little boy who I babysit and he rides the bus with my dd and comes over and plays after school has chicken pox. His mom just called and said, he had the vaccination but had what they call "break through" chicken pox...just a few sores but she thought they were bug bites because he reacts so badly to bug bites.

...sigh, and we just went around 4 cousins under the ages 4.

I never did get the vaccine for my kids because when I read that they react worse as adults then as children and it can be really dangerous as adults... I opted to skip the vaccination, so if they get it... I guess we just deal. I wonder what the incubation period is?

<<runs off to google chicken pox.

I thought it was going to be a dreary day but the sun has peeked out and I have 30 lil meaties on thier way on the 23rd. Glad I'm feeling better now, a little twinge here and there from my abdomen ... never know what's going to happen when you put an order in.

The little trip was fun but exhausting. Uncle Pat was a sport and did the big rides with Zoe a bunch of times. Luckily Ava's favorite hang out was the hot tub....felt like a really warm bath and you could walk out to the outside and get the cool air too while being in the big tub.

Then there was the wave pool and the slides and the bucket that dumped water....and the arcade and dry park...

My sister had a slide show from my dad's old slides and we got to see my dad graduate from John's Hopkins, my mom looked like a pin up girl--she was so pretty with her dark hair and big cat eye sunglasses, and all of our baby photos and cousins...at beaches and parks and farms... It was a neat way to spend one of the nights.

The kids were absolutely exhausted and fell asleep watching Tom and Jerry cartoons.

We sat out on the deck and looked out among the trees and could here water in Lake Delevan this year...remember it got washed out? The WHOLE lake disappeared in the flooding a year or so ago...now the Tommy Bartlett show is back (the fancy trick water skiers). Last year we saw the bottom of the lake...no water or very little and tall grasses...such a sight to see...but glad they got the water back. Don't know exactly what they did to get it back but...they did something.

Thank you all so much for being here for me.

I will post if there are any changes.

hugs,
gretchen

Gretchen, I'm so glad you got a chance to get away from your regular life for a while. So glad you're not acute anymore. Hoping for resolutions to your physical ailments soon!

Your kids will be fine. When my two older kids had chicken pox, a friend from work asked if she could bring her kids over so they would get them!

Hope you get to feeling better, I've never had ovarian cysts, but a friend has them often. They usually go away (or pop

) on their own, but the way she talks they hurt like heck!

Glad to hear you are better and had a great weekend!!
Cyst are painful. I hear diet changes help but I am not ready or willing to give up my caffeine and junk food. Without them I'd starve.
