Hey Folks,

Well, last night was rough! My parents are in bed by 8, because they have to be up at about 4 for work. At about 10:45, my dad came rushing out of his room, and grabbed his wallet. I asked what was wrong, and my mom told me his car had just been stolen.

My brother drove it to his friend's, about 4-5 minutes away from our house. There were some men hanging out in their car next to my dad's, but my brother thought nothing of it. My brother and his friend walked to the store down the road, and when they got back, the car was gone, and so was the car the guys were hanging out in. My brother's friend said he saw the men's car drive off while they were walkin back, and a black car as well but thought nothing of it. My dad's car is black. My brother called 911, but there is only so much they can do. The thing that is really horrible about is that my dad had my grandpa's watch in the car. My dad and his father were close, and my grandpa passed away 4 years ago. My dad has since then kept my grandpa's watch in his car, and now its gone. They also have our garage door opener, my dad's info and some tools he had in his trunk. He's getting a rental today, which is great, but its not his car. He just put quite a bit of money into it as well. I would just appreciate it if you all would help us pray that we get the car back in one piece, and with atleast my grandpa's watch still in there. I know its a slim chance, but God can do anything.

Sending prayers your way. God can do anything - even get stolen cars back. I know, ours was stolen 2 years ago from a parking lot. Four days later it was found in another city being used to burglar homes to support drug addicts(it was a big SUV so there was lots of room for those stolen TVs, etc.).

The police did a great job getting our car back (great story). It was slightly trashed inside and the dipsticks who stole it put in unleaded gas in a diesel (ouch! - fortunately it wasn't driven far afterwards and there was no permanent engine damage). We did, however, lose everything personal we had in the car - none of it was ever recovered. But - we got our car back and that was huge to us.

The guys who stole our car are all in prison for up to 15 years now. (They all had rap sheets several pages long.)

I will specifically pray your dad gets his dad's watch back. Those are things that are so special - more so than the car itself.
