Prayers please

Thank you so much you guys!!!!! It is really, really needed. And I KNOW when "two or more come together in His name" awesome things happen. It just breaks my heart knowing this kid is going through such torture in his mind.

G, thank you for reminding me about the demons in the pigs. I forgot about that one.

Ken is taking him to the Crisis Center tomorrow to see about medication options and have him see someone.

Prayers definitely sent. I know from friends in the special needs adoption world that California kind of sucks for this stuff, but.... there are programs that the state can help you with. Have you talked to child services? Want me to run the info up the flagpole in the special needs arena and see what they suggest? Actually, just go to the special needs and attachment forums on adoption.com. These parents are in the trenches with problems like this now.

I am the adoptive mother of a very emotionally disturbed 17 year old who I adopted when she was 16. She refuses to live with me now and the problems I was overwhelmed with from her are the reason I lost my job. So if you want to talk to someone who understands and has been there, let me know.

Hugs,
Sarah

Thank you!!! We talked to the County offices tonight and they gave us the address of a local crisis center, so we are going there tomorrow and see what can be done. I am also going to take Kristen's advice and visit the Astra-Zeneca website tomorrow and see if we can get his meds for less than the astronomical amount they go for.

He tried last August to kill himself, nearly successfully - almost cut off his hand. He still only has limited use. So when he says he feels these things I take him seriously.
